A Nigerian mother has cried out for help after allegedly being sent out of her matrimonial home by her husband with their two children.
The woman, identified as Grace from Ondo State, shared her emotional story while appealing for financial assistance to secure accommodation and care for her children.
According to her, she got married in 2023 and welcomed her first child, a boy she described as a special child who requires care and support.
“My husband does not like him”
Grace said her husband allegedly rejected their first child and often called him different names because of his condition.
She claimed the situation created constant tension in their home, with frequent arguments between her and her husband.
She said:
“Good evening, my name is Grace, I’m from Ondo State. I got married in 2023. I gave birth to my first child. This is my first child. He’s a special child. He can’t control his neck, he can’t do anything.
“My husband does not like him. He calls him different names. There will always be a fight inside the house because he is always fighting me.”
Mother welcomes second child
Grace explained that she later had a second child, a girl, hoping that things would improve in her marriage.
However, she claimed her husband was also unhappy about their second child because she was a girl.
She said:
“So I decided to have another baby for him. Maybe I will be okay. This is my second baby. She is a girl. My husband does not like her either because she is a girl.”
“He sent us out”
According to Grace, her marriage eventually broke down completely, and her husband allegedly asked her to leave the house with their children on April 20, 2026.
She said:
“So in April 20, 2026, he sent us out.
“He said there was no point in getting married again. I should leave.”
Grace said she has since been staying temporarily with a friend but has been given only a few more days to find another place.
“I don’t know where to go with my children”
The mother said she is currently without accommodation and is worried about where she and her children will stay after leaving her friend’s home.
She appealed to members of the public for financial assistance to secure accommodation and provide for her children.
She stated:
“My people, I’m not like this before. I’m very fine and beautiful but marriage turned me to this.
“Please, right now I don’t have accommodation. I’m staying with someone, like my friend. And he gave me a few more days to leave.
“I don’t know where to go with my children. Please. Please help us.”
“I really need help. Just to get an accommodation. I need financial support so I can take care of my children. I’m a mother. I can do anything because of my children.
“Please help me.”
Her emotional appeal has since drawn attention, with many people expressing concern about her situation and that of her two children.
