“Marriage Is Not About Tribe” – Netizens React To Paul Okoye And Wife, Anita’s Divorce

News broke today that, Paul Okoye, one-half of the defunct music group, P-Square, and his wife, Anita, are in the process of dissolving their marriage.

The news came about after a notice of petition which was sent to Paul Okoye showing Anita seeking a divorce from him, hit the internet.

According to reports, Anita is seeking a divorce from Paul Okoye due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Paul and Anita have been together for 17 years, but have, however, been married for 7 years. They tied the knot in beautiful traditional and white wedding ceremonies in March 2014. They have three children together – Andre, and twins, Nadia and Nathan.

It seems Anita had been planning on walking away from the marriage long before finally filing for divorce as she moved to the US with the kids months ago. She seems to have wanted the kids with her when all this goes down.

Fans have since taken to social media to react to the news, and many have reacted shocked as they didn’t seem to expect this divorce to happen. Some have linked their marriage to that of his brother, Peter Okoye, who was judged for marrying a Yoruba woman, yet they are still together.
