The Nigerian police have arrested a man who killed his pregnant wife and later stabbed himself.
The incident is reported to have happened at the Candid Estate community, Araromi Ale, in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State. It was reported how neighbors raised an alarm over the issue.

According to reports, the man identified as Wasiu allegedly slit the throat of his pregnant wife, who has also been identified as Fathia.
It is reported that the sad incident happened on Wednesday, June 8. Reports state that Wasiu, the suspect [email protected] his wife in the presence of their son. An eyewitness told the media outlet ‘The Sun’ that Wasiu called his relatives, his wife’s relatives, and his Landlady to inform them of his wife’s death after he stabbed her.
The landlady immediately called on CDA Chairman who also called the Nigeria Police station, Morogbo. When the police arrived and forcefully opened the door of the deceased’s apartment, they found the lady in a pool of her own blood with her neck slit.

The police upon arrival saw the man with his intestine gashing out of his stomach.
Police rushed the couple to Badagry General Hospital, where the wife, Fathia, was pronounced dead on arrival, while the husband was taken to the emergency section where he is recuperating under close police watch.
