The Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd.), has urged members of the South-South community residing in the state to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Omodara made the call on Monday in Lokoja during an empowerment program organized for members of the South-South community in Kogi State.
At the event, he distributed business support items and cash to beneficiaries, including sewing machines, grinding machines, and textile materials. N1.5 million was also distributed to members of the community to support their businesses and cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
Addressing the gathering, Omodara recalled his military career in the South-South region, noting that he began his service as a naval instructor in Rivers State.
He commended the leadership of the South-South community in Kogi for promoting unity among residents from the various states in the region.
Omodara also praised the president of the community, Hon. Mike Abu, who is also the special adviser to Governor Ododo on South-South Affairs, for his leadership and efforts towards maintaining peaceful coexistence.

He urged members of the South-South community to vote for President Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections, describing him as a leader committed to repositioning Nigeria and improving the country’s economic fortunes.
Also speaking, former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and APC leader in Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Alfa Imam, appealed to the South-South community to continue supporting the Tinubu administration.
Imam said the Federal Government was committed to transforming the country and urged the people to sustain their support for the APC.

Abu pledged the community’s support for the APC, assuring that its members would mobilize to deliver what he described as 100 percent votes for the party in the presidential and other elections.
