- CP Bakori commends Governor Yusuf for gesture, says it will boost officers’ morale
The Kano State Government, under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Executive Governor of Kano State, today extended a welfare support package to the family of Late Inspector Sani Haladu, a dedicated Police Officer who paid the supreme price in active service on 27th March 2026.
The presentation was made on behalf of the State Government by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government, Hon. Mohammed Tajo Othman, at the Kano State Police Command Headquarters, Bompai, Kano.
The support package presented to the bereaved family includes: Cash donation of One Million Naira (₦1,000,000), Food items comprising, Five (5) bags of Rice, Six (6) bags of Spaghetti, Six (6) bags of Macaroni, Two (2) Jerry Cans of Vegetable Oil, 25 litres each
Receiving, delivering and speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, DCP Lawal Isa Mani expressed the Command’s profound appreciation to the State Government for the kind gesture.
DCP Mani described the late Inspector Sani Haladu as a dedicated, loyal and gallant officer who lost his life at a time when his service was needed most. He noted that the officer served the Command and the people of Kano State with diligence and commitment until his last breath.
“The action of the State Government is highly commendable and a clear demonstration of the existing cordial relationship between the Government and the Police,” DCP Mani stated.
“He further stated that this kind of welfare support will go a long way in boosting the morale of serving Police Officers and their families, knowing that their sacrifices are recognized and valued by the Government and the good people of Kano State.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, while commending the Governor and the State Government, reiterated the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the 44 Local Government Areas of the State.
He assured the family of the Command’s continued support and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased officer. He also urged officers and men of the Command to remain steadfast, professional, and dedicated to duty.
The Kano State Police Command appreciates the consistent support of the Kano State Government under His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, towards the welfare of Police Officers and their families.
