How two employee killed their boss, burnt his body in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Police Command in Nasarawa State have arrested two suspects, Yusuf Musa, 23, and Victor Zamani, 32, for the killing of a 50-year-old man named Jude Thaddeus, also known as Musa and dumping his decomposing body in a dry well at his home in Aku Village, Base 5, Karu Local Government Area.

According to the command, the deceased’ sister, Jennifer Alain, 46, had reported to Aso Pada Division on November 3 that her older brother, Jude Thaddeus, could not be reached.

She said that although she tried calling him several times, an unknown person kept answering, which made her worry about his safety.

After receiving the complaint, detectives from the Division quickly began investigating, which led to Yusuf’s arrest.

Initial investigations showed that about three months ago, the deceased hired the suspect to care for his domestic animals and introduced him to neighbours and others in the community. Later, it was found that the deceased had been missing since 22nd October 2026. During this time, the suspect reportedly took his mobile phone and told callers that his father had travelled to England.

Investigators also found that the suspect was getting rid of the deceased’s personal belongings, domestic animals, and other property in suspicious ways. The suspect reportedly admitted to selling some heavy metals and industrial engines owned by the deceased for N3,400,000.

During questioning, Yusuf Musa reportedly admitted to being involved in the murder and said the victim’s body was dumped in a dry well at his home.

Early findings suggested that the victim was killed inside his home. Afterwards, his body was dumped in the well and set on fire.
