Salt, the sister of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has revealed that she would take control of her husband if she were financially richer than him. Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.
She made the statement while appearing on the Wahala Podcast, where she was asked about her approach to marriage and relationships, particularly if she had more money than her husband.
Salt responded: “I will control him o”
When she was asked whether she genuinely meant what she had said, she insisted that she was serious and explained that she knows herself well enough to believe she would behave that way.
She said: ““Yes, I will and I know myself. I am very self-aware, I will control you. Yes, I will control him because I am richer and I am saying the truth.”
Despite saying she would control a husband who earned less than her, Salt maintained that she would still expect him to take financial responsibility in the marriage.
“Even though I am richer, he will still be providing,” she said.
She also disclosed that she would intentionally avoid letting her husband know the full extent of her wealth.
“He wouldn’t even know I have a lot of money because I will not make him know that,” she said, adding that “he will be fine.”
