Nollywood actress Chiamaka Nwokeukwu has taken to social media to speak out about alleged problems in her marriage, accusing her husband of having a relationship with another woman.
In a now-deleted post shared on Instagram, the actress claimed that her husband had spent long periods abroad, leaving her in Nigeria to take care of their family.

According to Chiamaka, her husband would sometimes stay abroad for almost two years before returning home for only a short period and then travelling back to Europe.
She alleged that while she remained in Nigeria managing the family and dealing with the challenges of a long-distance marriage, her husband was allegedly maintaining a relationship with another woman.
The actress further claimed that the alleged side chic was her husband’s former girlfriend, whom she said he had previously promised to marry.
Chiamaka said she eventually received a video allegedly recorded inside the woman’s residence after the woman’s friend, who reportedly felt sympathy for her, traced her and sent her the footage.
She also alleged that her husband had made efforts to help the woman obtain a visa to Europe, although her first application was reportedly unsuccessful.
In her lengthy post, the actress expressed disappointment over the sacrifices she had made for her marriage, including putting aspects of her career aside to focus on building her family.
She wrote: “When my husband and I got married, he never told me that he was going to leave me in Nigeria and stay abroad for almost two years at a time. Most times, he would come home, stay for about a month, and then rush back to Europe again.
“We have had so many misunderstandings over the years because I was always left to handle everything on my own. I was practically living like a single mother while still being married.
“I gave my all to this man, including putting my career aside, because I wanted to build a home. I sacrificed so much for my family, not knowing that he was planning to bring his Ex girlfriend who is now his side chick to Europe to marry her while I continued to complain of long distance relationship
“His ex girlfriend Anita started going spiritual because my hubby promised her marriage before he met me and even after we got married, he still assured his ex that they would get married.
“Thank God for her best friend, who saw the way I always praised my husband online and felt pity for me then she traced me and sent me this video. I also discovered that my husband does a lot of things that is against my Christian life
“Imagine me praying for a man who is involved in things I can’t accept, while the woman he was involved with is also allegedly doing spiritual things concerning him. What kind of marriage is that?
“He even did first visa for her but she got denied and was about to try again. You are now free to marry her
“He also invites this same worker who is a side chick to my house to plait my daughter’s hair.
“I now look back and realize how vulnerable I was and I thank God for protecting me.
“I’ll be fasting and praying for my husband while he was busy following people that try to bring us down spiritually.
“I honestly can’t continue in a marriage like this. It is extremely painful, but I have to choose myself and my peace. I am totally done.
“I gave this marriage my all. I did my best. Now, I choose myself.”
