Back in June, Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Vargamade stated that Hungary would not allow “gender madness” in its schools. The Hungarian government has implemented measures for the all-encompassing protection of children — from anti-pedophilia legislation to banning LGBT content from its school curriculum — and not without severe rebuke from the EU. But what about indoctrination from the public media? A Netflix cartoon for kids featured two girls kissing, and Hungary’s response was to launch an investigation.
Indoctrinating vulnerable children is not a free-speech issue. According to the Hungarian national newspaper Magyar Nemzet:
During the ninth episode of the fifth season, a kiss between two teenage characters takes place and “to confirm the naturalness of the homosexual relationship, the young people’s family and friends also approve and support them in the story, saying how happy the two ‘girlfriends’ are together…”
Many argue that Hungary is too strict in protecting its children. The EU has challenged Hungary last year for being “anti-gay” with its new law “banning the depiction of homosexuality to under-18s.” The EU parliament called the law a “dismantling of fundamental rights in Hungary.” But the law only applies to children, not to adults, so there is no indication that Hungary is opposed to full rights for gays. Just the opposite: can one even imagine this Budapest frolic happening in a Muslim country? (The woke conveniently ignore the treatment of gays in Muslim countries.)

Hollywood has a double standard regarding Muslim countries:
While Hollywood has apparently refused to curtail content for the Hungarian youth audience, companies such as Disney have not been afraid to censor content to meet religious standards in the Middle East, with a lesbian kiss being removed from the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film in many Islamic countries.
This culture of indoctrinating children into adult sexuality has advanced gradually, but is now escalating rapidly. Given the pattern of the woke in Western countries — which has now escalated into transgender “care” in schools, sometimes even without parental knowledge and consent — Hungary has decided to protect kids under 18 from any form of woke sexuality indoctrination. There is good reason for this, as such indoctrination has escalated into child abuse. Some examples: New Jersey public schools will be “forcing second graders to learn explicit details about ‘gender identity.’” In California, “proselytizing California groomers are running wild.” And in Florida, “Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law Florida’s House Bill (HB) 1557, which disallows or limits schools from instructing children in certain sexual matters.” The EU is no different. Hungary stands apart.
Children need protection, not only from woke indoctrination in schools, but also from wokeism in the media. Parents should be able to feel confident when they let their children watch cartoons, secure that their kids are safe from indoctrinating images and messages popping up which have nothing to do with the plot. Instead, the woke are using every and all means possible to instill into children whatever sexuality the they decide is appropriate for kids.
In Hungary, woke parents are free (and safe) to teach their kids whatever they want, unlike parents in places such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the Palestinian Territories and anywhere the Sharia governs. In these countries, gays are often forced into hiding. This is not the case in Hungary, where gay rights are protected, but so are the rights of children to be free from indoctrination.

Hungary’s national media regulator has launched an investigation into streaming giant Netlfix over a children’s cartoon that features a lesbian kiss between two teenage girls – a possible violation of its 2021 law prohibiting LGBT-themed material targeted at children.
Following complaints from concerned parents on the conservative petition site CitizenGo, the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) of Hungary announced that it would investigate Netflix over an episode in the children’s cartoon programme Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous.
According to a report from the Magyar Nemzet national newspaper in Hungary, the series is marketed toward children as young as seven years old. During the ninth episode of the fifth season, a kiss between two teenage characters takes place and “to confirm the naturalness of the homosexual relationship, the young people’s family and friends also approve and support them in the story, saying how happy the two ‘girlfriends’ are together,” as the Hungarian paper relayed.
While this apparently breaches the Hungarian law prohibiting trans and other LGBT content aimed children, it remains to be seen if the NMHH will be able to take legal action against Netflix over the cartoon, as Netflix Hungary is actually registered in the Netherlands, meaning that the Hungarian media regulator may have to raise the issue with Dutch authorities for any action to take place.
Hungary, which is one of the most socially conservative member-states of the European Union, has faced backlash over the 2021 law prohibiting schools and media from promoting homosexual or transgender content to children from both Brussels and much of the establishment media in the West, which typically characterises the law as the “Hungarian anti-LGBT law”.
A government spokesman defended the legislation at the time, saying: “There are contents which children under a certain age can misunderstand and which may have a detrimental effect on their development at the given age, or which children simply cannot process, and which could therefore confuse their developing moral values or their image of themselves or the world.”
However, the European Commission announced that it would sue the government in Budapest over the law for allegedly violating EU-level laws on media freedom….
