A Nigerian lady identified as Dora has taken to social media to share the pain she experienced after losing her lover shortly after they began preparations to get married.

In a post shared on X, Dora revealed that it was her first time getting close to marriage, as her partner had returned from China and the couple had already taken steps towards their wedding.
According to her, they completed their medical tests and introduced their families before her partner suddenly fell ill and died.
Dora said the unexpected loss left her deeply shaken and affected her ability to think clearly.
She also recalled how some people told her to be grateful that she did not eventually become a young widow, a comment she found insensitive because she had lost someone she loved.
She wrote:
“Sometimes I wish life will be more kinder to us . The first time I almost got married . My guy came back from china . We did medical test and met families. then he fell sick and we lost him . Omo!!! His death really shook me .i couldn’t think straight . Some people said be thankful you didn’t end up as a young widow , excuse you !! That was someone’s son. I stayed away from relationships for a while”
