Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving three commissioners as part of efforts to reposition key ministries for improved service delivery.
The development was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, in a statement made available to journalists.
Under the reshuffle, Abdulrahaman Tumbido was redeployed from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, while Kasimu Yahya Kaura moved from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Tasiu Musa Shinkafi was redeployed from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
According to the state government, the redeployment is aimed at enhancing efficiency and strengthening the implementation of government programmes across the affected ministries.
The reshuffle takes immediate effect, with the governor directing the affected commissioners to complete all handover processes within one week.
Lawal also urged the commissioners to bring renewed commitment and dedication to their new assignments in the discharge of their responsibilities.
