The arrival of spring is synonymous with heat stroke in the city center of Lyon.
This weekend, the police were repeatedly called upon to intervene in the Guillotière district, and in particular around Place Gabriel-Péri between the 3rd and 7th arrondissements of Lyon. According to our information, the police have thus mobilized over several stabbings in the sector, the first having broken out on Friday at midday.
Shortly before noon, two individuals were reportedly injured by stab wounds during a mobile phone theft, the circumstances of which remain to be determined. One of them would have received 8 days of ITT by a doctor. An investigation has been opened to shed light on these facts.
In the evening, three wounded were again taken care of by the Lyon rescue services after a new armed brawl in this area of the “Place du Pont.” At least two people were hit by stab wounds while the details of the facts remain to be elucidated.
Then, this Sunday around 2 p.m., yet another similar alert fell on the airwaves of the Guillotière police officers. A new brawl had just broken out, still in the area of Place Gabriel-Péri. The police managed to intervene quickly to arrest a young man. The latter, injured according to a source familiar with the matter, was allegedly stabbed during the fight, without his vital prognosis being engaged. The alleged attacker, 15 years old and of Algerian nationality, was arrested and placed in police custody.
The investigations are continuing.
