The celebration of diversity in France is entering a particularly joyous phase.

The atmosphere was strange, to say the least, on Monday, January 23, at the time of the court appearance of a 45-year-old homeless man. He was appearing for repeated death threats against representatives of the judicial system.
On Wednesday January 18, while carrying out an administrative procedure within the courthouse, the man suddenly attacked the staff present, saying that he was going to come back “with the sword of Allah” to “dismember the police and judiciary.” During his hearings in police custody at the Le Havre police station and then the hearing in immediate appearance on Monday, the man made several references to divine judgment and the afterlife.
He was already well known to the court for different cases, including similar facts of threats against law enforcement officials. He asked to remain in prison and did not return to the dock when his sentence was announced: 24 months imprisonment followed by preventive detention.
