Explosive Onslaught: Russian Forces Unleash 4 Missile Strikes and Rain Down 45 Airstrikes On UKR

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has revealed a harrowing account of the events that unfolded today, shedding light on the relentless onslaught carried out by Russian forces against Ukraine.

According to the latest information available (as released by CNN); as of 18:00 on 21 May, the report paints a grim picture of the situation on the ground.

Throughout the day, Russian forces executed four missile strikes and unleashed a staggering 45 airstrikes, wreaking havoc and causing widespread destruction. Adding to the severity of the situation, multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) were also deployed in over 30 attacks, intensifying the assault on Ukraine’s territories.

These relentless attacks resulted in the destruction and damage of private residential houses and various civilian infrastructure facilities, amplifying the toll on innocent lives and the overall stability of the region.

In a disturbing display of aggression, Russian forces once again resorted to the deployment of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, targeting Ukrainian cities such as Lyman, Slonsk, and Kostiantynivka.

However, it is crucial to note that the S-300 missiles lack the precision required to distinguish between military and civilian targets, significantly increasing the risk of collateral damage and further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

This deliberate utilization of indiscriminate weaponry highlights Russia’s disregard for innocent lives and aligns with their long-standing tactics of terrorizing the Ukrainian population. Consequently, the persistent threat of missile and airstrikes looms large over Ukraine, leaving its citizens vulnerable and in constant fear.

Russian forces continue to concentrate their primary efforts on key fronts, namely Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka.

Throughout the day, intense clashes erupted across these five fronts, with the cities of Bakhmut and Marinka remaining at the epicenter of the escalating hostilities. The situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts has remained relatively unchanged, with no substantial shifts in the dynamics of the ongoing conflict.

Furthermore, On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces persist in maintaining their presence in areas adjacent to the Russian-Ukrainian border.

Notably, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been detected operating in certain border regions, posing an additional threat to Ukraine’s security.

These incursions have prompted retaliatory actions from Ukrainian forces, with Russian troops resorting to mortar and artillery fire on several locations, including Prohres in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv Oblast, Studenok, and Mykhailivka in Sumy Oblast, and Udy, Hraniv, Zelene, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Nesterne, and Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast.
