He wrote;

”I bless the name of the Lord for His blessing to my family in the gift of our son, Kachiside! No sorrow shall ever be added to this blessing to my family. However, I believe this blessing is not just for my family. My wife is in the second half of 50s in age. Yet she bore this pregnancy to full term, without even one morning of sickness! This should serve as encouragement to someone who may have given up hope, or is on the verge of doing so, on account of age. God’s promises for such a one will yet come to pass, if they hold on to and act on His word!”

In other words, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has asked the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, not to support any political candidate running for any public position during the 2023 general election.

On Saturday, December 11, the former President made the request at a ceremony hosted at the Ooni’s palace.

As a father to all, the former president claimed lawmakers will approach the monarch for support in the 2023 elections, but the most he can do is “pray for such a person and let him go.”

“All the sons and daughters of Yorubaland, no matter where they are or their standpoint, will come to meet you. This is expected because you are the father of all.

Anyone of them who says that he is interested in politics, just pray for him and let them go. Anyone who approaches you and says that he wants to be president or governor, just pray for such a person and let him go.

Don’t direct Yoruba people to support any aspirant, as we don’t all go in the same direction, which is part of our strength in Yorubaland” he said
