Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has informed Leicester City fans that they will miss him once he departs the club in the summer transfer window. Speculation is rife regarding the possibility of the former Manchester City star joining Aston Villa during the summer.

Aston Villa, under Unai Emery’s management, has identified Iheanacho as a potential backup striker for Ollie Watkins. The club has harbored a longstanding interest in Iheanacho, with previous attempts to sign him occurring four years ago, although the move did not materialize.

Following the club’s final game of the season against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, Iheanacho was seen wearing a t-shirt bearing the inscription “We’ve got HISTORY. When I’m gone, you gonna miss me.”
