DAVIDO: ‘Shopping Spree’ Hits 4M Views On YouTube, Debuts No. 2 on Spanish iTunes; ‘Jowo’ Hits 33M Views On YouTube

The DMW President is still topping charts and making waves. Davido’s new single ‘Shopping Spree’ which features two American artistes, Young Thug and Chris Brown has peaked on the number two (2) spot of the Spanish iTunes Chart. The song has also grossed four (4) million views on YouTube in five (5) days. It has become a trending song in twelve (12) countries including Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, Cyprus, Tanzania, Canada, UK, and others.

‘A Good Time’ album which had ‘Shopping Spree’ on as track number eight (8) has raked in 217 million streams on Spotify.

While others congratulate Davido and ask him to collaborate more with Chris Brown (after Blow my mind and Shopping Spree hits), others are also of the view that, even though the two are great artistes, they are not compatible.

Davido’s collaboration with another American artiste, Summer Walker called ‘D&G’ has surpassed 24 million streams on Spotify.

After Burna Boy and Wizkid won GRAMMYs at the ceremony’s recent event, many people have argued that unless Davido also wins, he should not be ranked at the same level as them.
