Chain Reactions Africa, one of Nigeria’s leading public relations consulting firms, has earned another major international recognition after its “From Promises To Proofs” campaign for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was named among the 40 Best PR Campaigns in the World at the 2026 Global SABRE Awards.
The recognition places the Lagos-based consultancy on one of the most prestigious stages in the global communications industry and makes Chain Reactions Africa the only Nigerian PR consultancy selected among the 40 finalists.
It also distinguishes the firm as an independent African consultancy competing alongside some of the world’s largest multinational PR networks.
The 40 campaigns were selected from more than 5,500 entries submitted from over 60 countries through the SABRE Awards’ regional competitions, placing the achievement in an exceptionally exclusive category of fewer than one per cent of entries.
PRovoke Media, founded by communications industry pioneer Paul Holmes, describes Global SABRE honourees as the “elite of the elite” in global communications.
For Chain Reactions Africa, the latest recognition represents another major step for From Promises To Proofs, following its success at the 2026 Africa SABRE Awards, where it won the Public Sector/Government category and was also selected as a finalist for the Platinum SABRE Award for Best in Show.
The Global SABRE Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Chicago on October 26, when the 40 campaigns will be ranked in a countdown to determine the world’s number one PR campaign.
The campaign teams will also have the opportunity to present and showcase their work at the 15th Global Public Relations Summit on October 27.
From Promises To Proofs was developed around a central communications challenge: shifting public discourse from government promises to visible, tangible and verifiable evidence of delivery.
According to Chain Reactions Africa Founder and Chief Strategist, Israel Opayemi, the global recognition is significant not merely because of the award itself, but because it demonstrates that Nigerian strategic communications can compete at the highest level internationally.
“This is particularly special because it takes the work beyond winning in Africa and places it amongst the best communications campaigns in the world. It is a powerful affirmation that Nigerian creativity, strategic thinking and execution can compete at the highest level of our profession,” Opayemi said.
He explained that the campaign was developed in partnership with the Presidential Media and Communications team to bring greater clarity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda while demonstrating evidence of implementation and impact.
“From Promises To Proofs was designed in partnership with the Presidential Media and Communications team to bring clarity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms agenda and show proofs that they are working,” he said.
Opayemi also commended members of the Presidential Media and Communications team, led by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy; Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation; Dr Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development; and Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, Director General of the National Orientation Agency.
He said the collaboration between the government’s communications team and Chain Reactions Africa was instrumental to the campaign’s delivery.
“This is a proud moment for Nigeria, for the Nigerian government and indeed everyone who worked on this campaign with us,” Opayemi added.
The Global SABRE recognition comes shortly after Chain Reactions Africa was ranked third overall among Africa’s PR consultancies and named winner of the Large Consultancy category in Earned First’s inaugural Africa Consultancy Performance Index.
With From Promises To Proofs now competing among the world’s 40 best PR campaigns, Chain Reactions Africa has further strengthened its growing international profile.
The achievement also offers a significant statement about the capacity of Nigerian communications professionals to develop campaigns capable of competing with the world’s most established agencies.
For a PR campaign conceived and executed in Nigeria to reach the global “elite of the elite” category is, in itself, a bold demonstration of the possibilities of the Nigerian spirit, creativity and strategic ingenuity on the world stage.
