Can Christians and Muslims form partnerships against the woke agenda? Should they?

Christians are often abjectly grateful when they see Muslims standing for traditional values against the Left’s onslaught. But they should proceed with caution, as a partnership with Muslims can only go so far, given the Qur’an’s contempt for non-Muslims, “the most vile of created beings” (98:6).

Catholics and other conservative Christians have been watching in horror as the sexual revolution has expanded and captured more political territory.

In tonight’s In-Depth Report, Church Militant’s Kristine Christlieb explores the possibility of Catholics partnering with Muslims against the woke agenda.

School board meeting participant: “They’re sexually explicit. They’re pornographic. They’re disgusting. I’m disgusted just looking at them, let alone read them.”

In a community where 42% of the population is Arab — Dearborn, Michigan — Muslims and Christians battled together this past fall to have sexually explicit LGBT books removed from school shelves….

In December, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation published a statement titled “Right to Family Life: Islamic and Human Rights Perspectives to Counter Challenges to the Institution of Marriage.”

The OIC is a 57-nation organization comprised of majority Muslim countries and is the largest voting bloc at the United Nations.

Its recent statement in response to the UN’s unrelenting support for issues such as gay marriage and abortion rights could be cause for optimism because it uses language compatible with Christian values and declares, for example, “Society can only prosper through a stable family achieved through marriage between man and woman as husband and wife.”

Before entering into alliances with Muslim organizations like the OIC, other nations should exercise caution, says Islamic expert Robert Spencer.

Robert Spencer, director, Jihad Watch:

There is a long-standing practice among Islamic spokesmen who address the West, or who understand their words will be read and studied in the West, to use words that will build bridges to people and groups in the West and make them think that they have a reliable ally.

Spencer gives specific examples that draw stark lines of demarcation.

Spencer: “In this case, the key word here is family. … The OIC is not talking about it in this document, but Islam allows for polygamy. A man can have up to four wives and as many concubines as he wishes.”…
