CAIR and the Dhimmitude of America

During the news cycle for the New Mexico murders, TV stations either featured or mentioned the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) 20 times in four days.

When CAIR reps appeared in person on a broadcast, they bloviated by launching “an army of phrases” over the landscape, carefully avoiding any actual ideas. They revealed no information, no knowledge, no perspectives, or contacts with the Muslim community.

But there was one very interesting detail that Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR’s National Communications Director, revealed when a CNN host indirectly challenged him about what direct role he was playing in the New Mexico affair.

It was then that Hooper told us that he was busy soliciting funds for CAIR’s reward offer of $10,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the Albuquerque murders.

This is significant, because up until this point, TV stations and CAIR had left the distinct impression that CAIR was putting up its own money when offering a reward. But CAIR doesn’t do that. It gets other people to donate the money, which CAIR then takes credit for on TV.

This business of taking credit for other people’s efforts, or “coordinating” as CAIR puts it, is a recurring feature.

Take, for example, CAIR’s Afghan Resource Center. CAIR’s “center,” or secondhand clothes shop, is run out of a space rented to them by the Episcopalians, with money from the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA), staffed by volunteers from Tinker Air Force base, showcasing things that Oklahomans donated to them.  The “center” also provides various sundries including deodorant, fans, diapers, back backs, soap, prayer mats, etc. But they don’t pay for these things. Even though CAIR has $2 million in reserves, it wants you and me to buy the diapers. CAIR may not even be donating the coat hangers. Supporting the Afghans is our job. CAIR’s job is handling the publicity and taking credit.

Meanwhile, CAIR used the tragic New Mexico murders to intimidate law enforcement a thousand miles away from the crime scene.

It was in Houston, Texas that CAIR’s William White told us that Muslims are looking to him for guidance. Now, law enforcement in Houston had to become “proactive.” White listed the law enforcement agencies that he wanted to come to heel. And even though the New Mexico murders were an example of Muslim-on-Muslim hate, William White ground his axe and told us they were a sign that Islamophobia has finally turned deadly.

So CAIR representatives will now go on TV to whitewash the centuries-old blood feud between Sunnis and Shiites. They never lose any access because of their previous hate speech.

CAIR already has the media working for it. It also is working on law enforcement and the makers of public policy.

There should be a strong public outcry every time this rogue group is on TV.
