Burna Boy is taking his beef with Davido too far – Joe El

Nigerian musician, Joe El Amadi has contributed his two cents to the longstanding rivalry between superstar singers Burna Boy and Davido.

He opined that Burna Boy is a younger version of controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem and stressed that he is taking the rift with Davido too far.

Joe El stated this while fielding questions on the latest episode of the ‘Real Ish” podcast, where he also described the ‘FIA’ crooner as “a loving guy.”

He also rebuked the ‘Last Last’ crooner over his controversial statement that nobody paved the way in for him in the industry, noting that some people made sacrifices to take Afrobeats to where it is today.

Joe El said; “Burna Boy is the younger version of how Eedris Abdulkareem used to operate before. This Davido and Burna Boy’s beef, I think Burna is taking it too far. Davido is a loving guy.”

Afropop singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi, has explained why he never tried to settle the rift between music stars, Davido and Burna Boy.

He said the Odogwu singer and Omo Baba Olowo are ‘brothers’, and the matter was deeper than many people think, so he could not intervene.

Peruzzi stated this while being interviewed on an episode of the Zero Conditions podcast co-hosted by Motolani Alake, Melody and Excel.

The ‘Gunshot’ crooner said he did not get involved firstly because he is older than the both of them, and secondly he’s never been a Yes man to anybody.

He said that he still has a good working relationship with the self-styled African Giant despite a collaboration issue they had over Burna’s song, Pull Up. Peruzzi opined that Davido and Burna Boy will eventually settle their issues without any external influence.

The singer further claimed in the interview that he wrote ‘Pull Up’ and was supposed to feature on it, but Burna Boy released the track without informing him.

He, however, said that they are cool and there is no bad blood between them because what happened was normal in the industry at the time.

Motolani asked; “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?”

In response, Peruzzi said; “No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, and I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man.

I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles]. I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.”
