President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council, The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has confirmed.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Senator Kamarudeen Olalere Oyewumi, TICC welcomed the appointment, describing it as well deserved.
The council pledged to mobilise 1.5 million votes for Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election, saying all Accord Party structures in Osun State would work towards securing his re-election.
TICC said it was confident that Adeleke would meet the President’s expectations by delivering electoral support for him in the state.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced,” the statement said.
The council also reiterated its commitment to the 1.5 million-vote target, citing an earlier pledge by Adeleke to support Tinubu’s electoral victory.
TICC urged residents of Osun State to continue supporting Adeleke, expressing confidence that the governor would fulfil his campaign promises.
It further called on voters to support Tinubu in the presidential election, arguing that backing the President would also amount to support for Adeleke.
The appointment places Adeleke at the centre of Tinubu’s campaign efforts in Osun State, while TICC has pledged to mobilise the party’s structures to achieve its stated electoral target.
