Social media influencer and self-proclaimed transgender, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has said he will continue to undergo HIV tests every six months, even though she has not been sexually active in years.
According to a post shared on his Instagram story on Monday, Bobrisky said her decision is driven by a commitment to preventive health rather than a reliance on treatment.
“I’m so weird. Every six months, I still go for an HIV test– even though I haven’t been with anyone in years.
“God knows I just don’t like taking chances or relying on medication. Prevention and peace of mind will always win,” she wrote.
Bobrisky, who has long been a controversial figure in Nigeria’s entertainment scene, has kept her romantic life largely private.
In September 2021, Bobrisky said she decided to become a woman after struggling for years as a man without progress.
