BBNaija: Barry becomes first finalist, saves Aikou from eviction

Barry has become the first housemate to secure a place in the finale of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11: Show Ya Sef after winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge.

TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Barry’s victory also earned him the Ultimate Veto Power, giving him the authority to influence nominations during the current week and the following week.

During the live nominations process, housemates were given the opportunity to make a two-minute pitch to Barry, explaining why they should be saved from possible eviction.

After listening to the pitches, Barry exercised his Ultimate Veto Power by saving Aikou from possible eviction.

The decision meant that every other eligible housemate remained up for possible eviction, while Barry was protected by his status as Head of House and Ultimate Veto Power Holder.

Barry’s decision, however, did not go down well with everyone in the house. His choice to save Aikou particularly hurt Temi Nkem and Tram, adding a fresh layer of tension to the competition.

TNG reports Barry’s night had earlier begun with his victory in the Week 8 Head of House challenge.

He defeated Keivo in the final stage of the challenge after both housemates emerged from the earlier rounds, eventually securing the HoH crown.

Biggie subsequently announced that Barry was the first finalist of the season, guaranteeing him immunity until the finale.

With Barry already through to the grand finale and Aikou safe from this week’s eviction, attention will now turn to the remaining housemates as the battle for the other finalist spots intensifies.
