Bayern Munich secured a 2-0 win over Cologne at the Allianz Arena, delaying Bayer Leverkusen’s chance to clinch the Bundesliga title until they face Werder Bremen on Sunday.

In the match, Bayern rotated their starting lineup ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal.

Both teams had their share of chances in the first half. Faride Alidou came close for Bayern, while Sven Ulreich made crucial saves for the hosts.

Bayern’s Harry Kane and Mathys Tel hit the woodwork, but Cologne also had their opportunity, threatening on the counter-attack a couple times.

After the break, Bayern introduced Jamal Musiala to inject more energy into the team.

Raphaël Guerreiro broke the deadlock with a curling effort from outside the area, giving Bayern the lead.

Cologne pushed for an equalizer, with Steffen Tigges coming close, but Thomas Müller sealed the win for Bayern in added time.

The result means Bayer Leverkusen will have to wait until Sunday to potentially secure the Bundesliga title.
