4 Suspected Cultists Nabbed For Armed Robbery 

At least four suspected cultists have been arrested in the Ilaro area of Ogun State for alleged assault, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of firearm.

Police operatives from the Ogun State Command arrested the four suspected cultists namely, Samson John (25), Olufowora Michael (28), Odeh Samuel Ejeh (25), and Olajide Jeremiah (28),during an operation.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer,  Oluseyi Babaseyi, who confirmed that the suspects are in custody undergoing interrogation over their alleged conduct.

He explained that their arrests followed a complaint lodged at the Ilaro Division on 16th April, 2026. The Police moved into action and arrested the suspects while two others escaped and are now at large.

Babaseyi said, “On 16th April, 2026, at about 11:30pm, a report was made at the station. The complainant stated that earlier the same day, at about 1pm, Samson John, in the company of six others, stormed his residence, assaulted him, threatened him with an axe, and robbed him of his mobile phone, an iPhone 14 Pro Max”.

The PPRO noted that the suspects were apprehended following a swift response by operatives, with several items recovered during the operation.

“Upon a swift response and subsequent investigation by operatives, the suspects were apprehended. During the operation, one locally made pistol, an axe, suspected charms, and the stolen iPhone 14 Pro Max were recovered,” he added.

“The suspects are in Police custody, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.”

The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, commended the operatives for their prompt response and professionalism, reiterating the Command’s zero tolerance for cultism and violent crimes.

He reiterated the Command’s zero tolerance for cultism and other violent crimes, assuring residents that all criminal elements will be decisively dealt with.
