2023 Election: Naira Marley to donate N1billion to political party

Popular Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, has announced that he wants to make a huge donation ahead of the 2023 general election.

The rapper said he intends to donate the sum of 1billion Naira (One Billion Naira) to a political party.

Naira Marley made this known via his official Twitter account on Wednesday, 10th of August, 2022.

The Marlian president went further to ask Nigerians which is the preferred political party or candidate.

‘‘I wanna donate 1billion naira for 2023 election but what party are we voting for?” he wrote.

Speaking of a credible candidate, CorrectNG recalls that Senator Chimaroke Nnamani praised the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while condemning attacks on his candidacy.

The lawmaker representing Enugu East Senatorial District, on Tuesday, Aug 9 described Tinubu as “the hardest working Politico of this generation”.

Nnamani, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, however, said he would cast his vote for his party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

In a series of tweets, he wrote; “Since we all desire a better Nigeria, our politics should be grounded in facts and reliable evidence. This is the only way we can advance this nation. Ahmed Bola Tinubu is the MOST successful Governor in modern Nigeria bar none.

“While my vote is covered by the Umbrella per my Party PDP and our Candidate, HE Atiku Abubakar, I take a bow for the hardest working Politico of this generation. He patiently paid his dues.”
