Yaw Tog Returns With ‘Sophia’, Unveils Release Date

Ghanaian award winning recording and performing artiste, Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, known within the showbiz circles as Yaw Tog has announced an upcoming project.

Yaw Tog is a dynamic musician with a unique approach to making music. He’s best known for his viral song ‘Sore’ which featured O`Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie & Jay Bahd and also Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy on the remix.

Few days ago, the young multifaceted Ghanaian rap artiste and entertainer took to his official social media page to announce the completion of his next work. In an update of event, the ‘Sore’ hit-maker has shared the release date for the tune tagged; “Sophia”.

According to Yaw Tog a.k.a Young Bull, ‘Sophia’ has been scheduled to arrive on Friday, August 5, 2022 on all streaming platforms. He disclosed this in a post via his verified Twitter account on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

The single when released will be his second major project this year (2022) after serving his listeners with ‘Azul’ featuring emerging Nigerian act, Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, professionally called Bad Boy Timz.

Meanwhile: Global audio streaming and media services provider, Spotify has shared the list of their top 10 Africa’s artistes most Spotify monthly listeners.

The music platform which happens to one of Africa’s favorites streaming platform projects and sells African music to the rest of the world. The July 2022 list saw the African Giant lead the chart.

Burna Boy whose ‘Love, Damini’ album was released on Thursday, July 7, 2022 tops the list with 17 million streams. CKay has 15.7 million, Tems – 15.5 million, Fireboy DML 9.5 – million, Rema 8.8 – million, Wizkid 8.3 – million, Soolking – 7.4 million, Amaarae – 5.5 million, DJ Yo! – 5.4 million and Davido – 5.2 million.
