A woman has been accused of allegedly subjecting a young boy to physical abuse, hard labour and inhumane treatment in Makurdi, Benue State.
The allegation was raised on social media by a Facebook user identified as Zege Orkwande, who said the incident occurred in the Old GRA area of Makurdi.

According to Zege, the boy was allegedly living with the woman after being brought from the village to work as a helper. He accused the woman of subjecting the child to what he described as harsh and degrading treatment.
In a post shared on Facebook, Zege wrote:
“Happened this morning at Old GRA, Makurdi. Child abuse/assault, hard labour and slavery,” he wrote
“Look at what one madam at Behind Total fuel station, Old GRA Makurdi did to helper she brought from the village. This is evil, slavery and inhumane.
“I’ll advise her to respectfully report herself to any divisional police station under Benue State Police Command, Makurdi.
“Madam/sir, use 12hrs to act respectfully or I’ll drag you online before arrest/prosecution.”
