Former Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke explained that she chose to get a Brazilian Butt Lift because it was popular at the time and she felt pressure from those around her.
She talked about her experience in an interview with Korty EO, saying she did not tell her mother about the surgery because she knew her mother would not approve.
She said that recovering from the procedure was very hard.
The Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner said the first few days after surgery were extremely painful, especially the first three days. She added that patients cannot sit or sleep on their backs for about two weeks while they heal.
Even though recovery was uncomfortable, she said she is now happy with the results and feels good about her body.
Eke said: “I got a BBL because it was trending and there was a lot of peer pressure. I didn’t tell my mum because I knew she would discourage me. You can’t sleep on your bum for 14 days, and you’ll cry for the first 3 days from the pain… but look, it’s soft now.”
