An elderly Nigerian woman is refusing to release her grandchild, whom she has cared for since being abandoned by the child’s mother 7 years ago.
The situation came to light through a viral video in which the grandmother passionately articulated her reasons for keeping custody of the child.
According to the video, the elderly woman recounted the tragic story of how her deceased son and his wife had welcomed their baby seven years ago.
