Watch How Inmates At Ankaful Prison Welcomed Shatta Wale (+VIDEO)

Embattled Ghanaian Dancehall musician and music executive, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly called Shatta Wale was given a resounding welcome by inmates at the Ankaful Maximum prison when he arrived to serve his remand.

Shatta Wale was remanded by the court to spend a week in prison after he was found guilty of causing fear and panic with his gun attack stunt he pulled on Ghanaians exactly a week ago.

Shatta Wale staged a supposed attack with some members of his SM team, Gangee, Nana Dope, Deportee claiming he has been shot in reaction to a death prophecy by preacher, Jesus Ahuofe, who is currently also in police custody.

In a new video making rounds on social media, Shatta Wale who was in the company of some Prison officers walked to the prison while the inmates cheered him on as he made his way into his cell.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian social media personality, Andrea Owusu, well known as Efia Odo has lamented how distressing it will be for Shatta Wale and Medikal in prison given the conditions over there.

In reaction to that. Efia Odo has revealed that is it quite despairing hearing of the news about Shatta Wale and Medikal’s predicaments. She added that prison is not the nicest place to be but she hopes Ghanaians learn from this.

She wrote; The news about Medikal and Shatta is quite despairing. Prison isn’t the nicest place to be, I’m optimistic that they’ll stay strong whilst they’re away. Hopefully lessons will be taught to each and everyone one of us.
