Before his retirement, Kevin Ford, who worked for Burger King for 27 years, never missed a day of work.

His employer sent him a gift package filled with pencils, chocolates, movie tickets, and a Starbucks cup during his final days at work as compensation for his years of devoted service.

The 54-year-old guy went viral after his daughter Seryna revealed the farewell gift her dad received on social media.

She made the decision to create a GoFundMe page to thank him for being able to support his family and pay for the college education of his four children over the course of many years of labor.

Within a few days after the site was established, generous people who were inspired by Mr. Ford’s case began making large donations.

Over 6,000 gifts totaling about $220,000 (N91 million) were received in just seven days.

Seryna Ford, the daughter of Ford, stated that her “initial objective was $200” and that she didn’t have big expectations.

On Today, the father and daughter made an appearance, and he talked about how difficult it was for him.

“It’s like a dream, a dream come true, that nobody can even think of this. It’s just overwhelming.

“I just want to tell everybody out there, thank you for every cent, even the thought of watching the video,” Ford said. “There’s been donations from Australia and U.K. all around the world…I just want to say thank you to everybody. It’s just a dream come true and just a whirlwind of love,” Ford said.
