Man Utd to make final £50m bid for Mount

Man Utd are ready to make an improved £50m bid for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, reports the Daily Mirror. United have seen a £40m offer turned down and are unlikely to make any further bids for the England international should they be turned down again by Chelsea.

Mount, who has one year left on his deal, is valued at £70m by Chelsea and the reports says United are unwilling to meet these demands.

Chelsea agree personal terms with Jackson

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson, according to The Athletic. Jackson, who has a £29.8m release clause, has committed to Chelsea, the report claims.

Man City won’t stand in Bernardo Silva’s way

Manchester City will not stand in Bernardo Silva’s way if he wishes to leave the club. However, as has previously been the case, the player and his representatives must request a transfer and present a suitable offer to the treble-winners to consider.

Paris Saint-German are interested in signing him, while Barcelona have a long-term interest in the Portugal international. In an ideal world for City, Silva would stay and sign a new long-term contract, having been instrumental in their momentous achievements this season, winning the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup. However, Silva is understood to have considered a move away from City last summer, which did not materialise.
