Nigerian musician Timaya took to social media to warn other Nigerians living in South Africa to exercise caution following the semi-final win of Nigeria.

Nigeria advanced to the finals as a result of the match, but it appears that worries about the safety of Nigerians in the nation that played have been heightened.
Timaya encouraged Nigerians in South Africa to “just day your day” on Twitter, suggesting that they should stay indoors to prevent any potential violence or altercations that might occur after the football game.
“If you’re a Nigerian and in SA tonight pls just DEY YOUR DEY!,” Timaya wrote.
