Senator Shehu Sani, a civil rights advocate and former congressman from Kaduna, recently praised the Bola Tinubu administration on social media for allegedly suspending and then detaining Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele.

Remember that on Friday night, news stories flooded the nation’s media landscape with claims that Emefiele had been detained by DSS agents after the President had ordered that he be dismissed from his position at the Apex Bank.

Sani, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), thanked Tinubu in a tweet made on his verified Twitter account on Saturday morning for getting beleaguered Emefiele fired from his position as the head of the Central Bank. He continued by pleading with the President to hire outside auditors to conduct a thorough examination of the Apex Bank’s financial operations during the last eight years.
