The Premier League has revealed its shortlists for April’s Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards.

There will be a new Player of the Month after last month’s winner, Rodrigo Muniz, was not nominated. Six players from six different clubs are in contention for the prize.

Similarly, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola will relinquish his crown. Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola are both contenders for the penultimate award of the season.

Bruno Fernandes scored six goals and provided one assist in five matches for Manchester United, although the team struggled to win during April.

Josko Gvardiol impressed for Manchester City, contributing two goals and an assist while helping his team maintain their title push with two clean sheets.

Kai Havertz stood out for Arsenal, scoring four goals and providing three assists in six games, including key performances against Chelsea and Tottenham.

Jean-Philippe Mateta played a pivotal role in Crystal Palace’s successful April, scoring five goals, including braces against West Ham and Newcastle.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was the leading scorer in April with seven goals in four appearances, including a hat-trick against Manchester United and four goals against Everton.

Jordan Pickford of Everton kept four clean sheets in April and made 23 saves, contributing to his team’s successful month.

Premier League Manager of the Month shortlist – April 2024:

– Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
– Sean Dyche (Everton)
– Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal won five out of six games in April, including victories over Chelsea and Tottenham, and kept four clean sheets.
