A Nigerian lady has advised men to be more honest about their intentions when approaching women, particularly when they are only interested in a sexual relationship.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she argued that some men pretend to want a serious relationship simply because they want sexual access to a woman, warning that such deception could eventually lead to unnecessary complications.
In her words, she said:
“As a guy, you want to sleep with a girl and it’s still relationship format you’re using. You cannot tell her, ‘Babe, I want to sleep with you. I want to be in a sexual relationship with you.’ It’s not like I want to date you. I just want to be sleeping with you.”
She questioned why men would pretend to want a relationship when they could simply communicate their intentions and allow the woman to decide whether she wants the same arrangement.
According to her, using a relationship as a means of gaining sexual access could have serious consequences if the woman eventually agrees to date the man and the relationship turns toxic.
“You meet a babe that you just want to enter, not date her, and you go dey use copy and relationship just to have access. Now, if the girl eventually dates you and she ruins your life, what will you gain?
Five minutes pleasure? One minute pleasure? When you can actually communicate your wants without there being any complications,” he added.
Her comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing that people should be honest about their intentions before entering relationships.
Others, however, debated whether being upfront about wanting only a sexual relationship would necessarily make it easier for both parties to agree.
