Support Atiku at Tribunal – Dino Melaye Urges Makinde
Dino Melaye, the DP’s Kogi State chairman, has urged that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State should back the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in his bid to recapture his mandate.
Melaye suggested that Makinde walk into the presidential election tribunal and support Atiku to demonstrate that the mending process has begun.
Makinde, along with the G-5 governors led by former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, had turned against Atiku during the past presidential election.
While Makinde and Wike backed President Bola Tinubu, the other G-5 governors backed Labour Party leader Peter Obi.

However, Makinde stated during a PDP retreat for elected officials in Bauchi State that the party had been through a lot during the previous election and that it was now time to move on.
Speaking at the ceremony, Melaye asked the governor of Oyo State to support Atiku’s claim that the electoral process was compromised, stating that doing so would “show that the healing has truly begun.”
I just want to start by thanking Governor Seyi Makinde for his comment this morning, especially when he said, “Healing begins now,” the governor said.
And the best way to start the healing process is for Governor Seyi Makinde to enter the tribunal building, sit down, and support the party and our candidate between now and when we return in two weeks.
