Nigerian music executive, Soso Soberekon has filed a lawsuit against musician, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, over allegations that he attempted to kill him in Port Harcourt.

Harrysong made the allegation while speaking on the Frankly Speaking podcast co-hosted by comedian, Nedu Wazobia.

The former Five Star Music artiste lamented in the interview about lack of genuine friendships in the music industry. He said that most people seen as his friends are “real enemies” trying to see him fail.

Apart from alleging that Soberekan, hired assasins against him, Harrysong also called out Skiibii and Kcee, noting that the trio are not his friends as widely assumed.

He said; “90% of all the friendships are fake. There are people I’ve been working with for years. If you call their names you go say na Harry guy be this. Dem no be my guy.

“As a matter of fact, those are my real enemies. If you see Soso now, you’ll say Soso is my friend. Soso is not my friend, Soso is my enemy. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt, no jokes. Ask my team, ask everyone.”

When asked if he had proof Harrysong said, “I have evidence, I have videos, I have pictures.

“This is no joke. You’ll say he is my friend, he’s not my friend. He wants to kill me.”

In reaction to the allegation, Soso Soberekon demanded that he retracts the statement and tenders an apology.

In a suit filed by his legal representatives, the talent manager also requested the sum of N500 million for damages such claims caused to his reputation.

Sharing the lawsuit notice on his Instagram story, Soso wrote; ”As a matter of fact, I always mind my business, stay on my lane and put smiles on people’s faces. It is very disappointing that Harrysong will make such a false, reckless and defamatory statement.”
