Some people were laughing at me – Pastor Adeboye reflects on losing his son

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that some people mocked him when he lost his son last year.

It may be recalled that the revered clergyman lost his biological son, Dare Adeboye in May 2021.

He was 42 years old.

According to The Punch newspaper, Adeboye talked about how people were laughing while he was grieving. He spoke on Tuesday night, 9th of August, 2022 during the ongoing 70th annual convention of the church.

Adeboye said; “Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me.”

In other religious news, a Nigerian pastor known as Igomowe has demanded that Nigerians increase the offering they give in church to conform with the inflation being experienced by many countries globally.

He issued a stern warning to Nigerian Christians in a video making the rounds on social media platforms.

The clergyman noted how the price of foodstuff like rice, beans, bread have all increased yet people’s offerings have not increased. Igomowe also mentioned that house rents have gone.

He lamented over how the situation is affecting him as a pastor, to the point that his neck has gotten dry. The man of God warned people not to let him use his calling and lay curse on them.

Social media users raised questions about whether he is actually a pastr because they found his demand and warning weird.
