Shock defeat marks Kylian Mbappe’s final PSG home game

Paris Saint-Germain suffered a 3-1 defeat against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes in what marked Kylian Mbappe’s final home game for the club.

Earlier in the week, Mbappe confirmed his departure from PSG at the end of the season upon the expiration of his contract. Although he didn’t disclose his next destination, it’s widely anticipated that he will join Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old’s announcement followed their unexpected elimination from the Champions League at the semi-final stage by Borussia Dortmund, leaving him with just four games left to play for PSG before departing this summer.

Despite PSG’s late surge for an equalizer, they were thwarted by a 95th-minute goal from Frank Magri. The defeat, although disappointing, held little significance as PSG had already secured the Ligue 1 title under the management of Luis Enrique.

Mbappe’s remaining fixtures with PSG include matches against Nice and Metz in Ligue 1 before contesting the Coupe de France final against Lyon. He departs PSG as their all-time leading scorer and one of the club’s greatest players.

Meanwhile, as Mbappe faced Toulouse, his prospective Real Madrid teammates celebrated their La Liga title with a parade through the streets of the Spanish capital.
