“She risks 3-year ban” –  Jamb reveals how Ejikeme Mmesoma doctored her UTME result (Video)

In a shocking revelation, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has uncovered a case of result inflation in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that Ejikeme Mmesoma, a pupil of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra State, had tampered with her UTME score, falsely claiming to be the highest scorer of the examination.

Addressing the issue, Benjamin reiterated that no candidate had scored 362 in the 2023 UTME examination, as previously announced by Mmesoma.

The JAMB spokesperson revealed that upon investigating the matter, it was discovered that Mmesoma had edited someone else’s result and misrepresented it as her own.

The QR Code on the result she was holding indicated that it belonged to a candidate who had taken the exam in 2021, scoring 138.

Further investigations were conducted by JAMB, which involved cross-checking Mmesoma’s name and registration number in their system.

This led to the disclosure that Mmesoma had actually scored 262 in the UTME, contrary to her claim of a higher score.

Benjamin expressed concern over the severity of Mmesoma’s actions, noting that they could potentially implicate the founder of Innoson Motors if he was aware of the gravity of the situation.

Regarding the process of result verification, Benjamin explained that.

Mmesoma had deviated from the official procedure.

Instead of sending her registration number to the designated code (55019) to view her result, she mistakenly sent “UTME” to the code.

Due to her unique phone number acting as an identifier, the system erroneously sent her the original result.

Taking advantage of this error, she manipulated the result and sent it back multiple times.

However, the system ultimately revealed her actual score.

In reference to Mmesoma’s claim that the result slip she possessed had a QR code, Benjamin clarified that the design she presented was not used for the 2023 results.

He challenged individuals with candidates who took the 2023 UTME to compare their official result slips with the one Mmesoma had displayed in her video.

As a consequence of her fraudulent actions, JAMB has withdrawn Mmesoma’s result and imposed a three-year ban on her participation in future examinations.

Furthermore, she will face legal charges for her misconduct.
