Sanwo-Olu reappoints Ayinde as Chief of Staff, Salu-Hundeyin as new SSG

Lagos Governor Bababjide Sanwo-olu has announced the appointment of Tayo Ayinde as Chief of Staff, CoS, reappointing him as Chief of Staff.

Sanwo-olu also named Barr.Bimbola to the new position in an announcement on state television on Thursday.

Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, as Secretary to the State Government, SSG.

Salu-Hundeyin, who is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, succeeded the immediate past SSG, Mrs. Folashade Jaji, a former Head of Service, Lagos State.

Prior to his most recent appointment, he served as Lagos Secretary of the NPC National Population Commission. Sanwo-olu is expected to soon appoint more people to make up the provincial administrative council. According to reports, the governor plans to bring about 70% of the last executives back into the cabinet in his second term. The governor also reappointed Gboyega Soyanwo as deputy chief of staff.

Among those returning are Information Strategy Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso, Housing Commissioner, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, MAF, Governor’s Special Advisor for Construction and Infrastructure, Engr Aramide Adeyoye, and Education Special Advisor, Tokunbo Wahab, among others.

Meanwhile, there are strong signs that former SSG Commissioner for Environment Tunji Bello will not return as he heads for federal appointments in Abuja under President Bola Tinubu.”
