Reactions Trails Tacha’s Claim of N9.2m Dress At AMVCA

Some of Tacha Akide’s Big Brother Naija fans have disputed the reality star’s assertion that her attire for the AMVCA 2023 cost N9.2 million. Celebrities attended the 9th edition of AMVCA from May 18 to May 20 at the Eko Hotels & Suites Convention Centre in Lagos dressed in beautiful ensembles with eye-catching fashion accents.

On Saturday, Tacha posted images of herself wearing a blue gown with a see-through veil covering her bust and lap to her Twitter account. She mentioned in the tweet that the dress, created by well-known designer Tolu Bally, cost around $20,000. 

She tweeted, “Everybody looks amazing on the black carpet today. But we all know that nobody comes close.”

In order to support her claim, the reality personality tweeted a photo of a $20,000 invoice. Since then, responses have ridiculed Tacha for making what many have called an unnecessary bogus assertion. Others criticized her for choosing to spend so much money on a gown for a single-night event.
