The officials of the British Broadcasting Corporation were met by the Presidency media team for discussions over the documentary concerning the #EndSARS protests.

This comes after Nigeria’s President, Buhari said he was ‘disgusted’ with the coverage the corporation aired to the world.

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity made it known that they acknowledged that the BBC has reported extensively on all sides. He went further to say that they were pleased that BBC heard their concerns.

He wrote; 

“Following concerns expressed about reporting of #EndSARS in Nigeria, the presidential media team met with the BBC team to discuss the matter.

“We acknowledge that the BBC has reported extensively on all sides of this story.

“We are pleased that the BBC has heard our concerns.”
