FCT Police have arrested 4 suspects and recovered 42 rounds of live ammunition during a clearance operation in border communities around Kwali, Abaji and Kuje Area Councils.
CP Ahmed Sanusi, in a press briefing on Tuesday, said the operation was carried out on July 5, 2026 by a combined team led by the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit. The team also dislodged hideouts and smoked out caves in Nago Forest, Kuje.
The suspects arrested are Bello Abdullahi, Shuaibu Iliya, Idris Abubakar, and Misbahu Isa.
Misbahu Isa led operatives to Zuba Motor Park where 42 live rounds of 7.62mm ammunition were found concealed in his Volkswagen Golf used as a commercial vehicle.
Police say Isa is an arms dealer supplying kidnappers and bandits across Niger, Kaduna and Kogi states. He recently supplied over 20,000 rounds of ammunition to wanted bandits for ₦3 million.
Other items recovered include six bottles of Codolyn syrup, nine bottles of Piscof syrup, codeine, 125 wraps of suspected cannabis, 21 tablets of Tramadol, 78 tablets of Exzole, one magazine with 6 rounds of 7.62mm ammo, ₦170,000 cash, and other items.
CP Sanusi said the operation is part of efforts to rid FCT and neighboring states of violent criminals.
