Parents Dismiss Man Claiming Responsibility For Daughter’s Pregnancy

I am an 18-year-old girl in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, sleeping with multiple boys without discretion. I find myself in a state of dilemma, unsure of who is responsible for my pregnancy.

I decided to inform one of my boyfriends that he is the father, but he denied even knowing me. The other two boyfriends are now missing, as their phone numbers have been unreachable for over a month. To make matters worse, I don’t know their home addresses.

I am currently four months pregnant, and my parents are starting to suspect due to my attempts to hide it with oversized shirts. I am worried about how long I can continue to keep it a secret as my pregnancy progresses.

I considered getting rid of the pregnancy, but doctors advised against it. However, giving birth to a child out of wedlock is deeply troubling and brings shame to my family. Despite my desperate attempts to abort, I have faced failure and found myself in a difficult situation.

Even though I am uncertain which of my boyfriends is the father, I have been visiting the hospital for medical care due to the complications from the attempted abortion.

I was advised to seek spiritual antenatal care at Dr Ohanu Spiritual temple, phone +23480, 88077, 395 The spiritualist informed me that the baby in my womb is a prophet and that my attempt to abort the pregnancy could have cost me my life.

I became frightened and worried, but the spiritualist encouraged me not to dwell on how I will survive after giving birth. He assured me that money
would not be a problem. The spiritualist also mentioned that the father of my child is among the three men I suspected, and he will likely claim ownership after one month of successful delivery.

He provided me with spiritual fortification and urged me to ask for forgiveness every morning until delivery. After eight months and three weeks, I experienced labor pains and hurriedly went to a nearby clinic, where I gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Just three weeks later, one of my boyfriends, who initially denied knowing me, came to apologize and claim responsibility for the pregnancy.

My parents were furious and asked him to leave immediately. Now I am confused and unsure of what to do. I need advice from parents out there.

What should I tell my parents, who do not want to see the man who impregnated me? Please advise me as I am completely lost.
