After the completion of the 2023 General Elections, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), broke his silence. While the 2023 General Elections had significant difficulties, according to INEC’s track record, they provided the most varied results since 1999, according to Mahmood Yakubu, who spoke to Nigerians and INEC employees during a press conference.

Today, there are nine political parties represented in state houses of assembly, eight political parties represented in the House of Representatives, five political parties that have produced state governors, and seven political parties that have earned senate seats.
