“On four occasions”- Femi Otedola reveals why he only prays to God, speaks on number of times Dangote prays daily

‎Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola has opened up on why he prays to God, drawing a comparison with Aliko Dangote.

‎Delivering a speech at the Dangote Refinery, the businessman disclosed that he has only prayed to God on four separate occasions.

‎During the speech, he detailed the four occasions he prayed to God, which included when his father ran for the Lagos State governorship election, 2008 bankrupt, 2007 visit to Dangote refinery and lastly, commissioning of the Dangote Refinery.

‎According to the businessman, he prays to God whenever he needs a favour, while Dangote prays five times daily.

‎”Aliko is probably one of the religious people I’ve come across with. I only talk to God when I need a favour“, He stated.

‎Delivering the speech, he disclosed that after teaming up with Dangote in 2007, they acquired the Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries, owning a 20 percent stake.

‎In a devastating turn of events, certain individuals sabotaged the refineries.

 

Otedola’s Controversies

 

Notably, Femi Otedola has been involved in several controversies over the years.

One major issue was the fuel subsidy scandal, where he was accused of benefiting from the Petroleum Subsidy Fund scheme during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

However, Otedola denies these allegations, stating that his company, Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited, only traded in diesel,.

He further claimed the money was part of a sting operation with the Department of State Services (DSS), which led to Lawan’s conviction.
